Ark academies, which runs 35 schools across London, Hastings, Birmingham and Portsmouth, has welcomed Ark Paddington Green Primary Academy to its network.

The school is situated between Edgware Road, Paddington railway station and picturesque Little Venice, with excellent facilities for young children, including a woodland play area.

Chief Executive, Lucy Heller and Director of Primary, Venessa Wilms introduced Ark and its family of schools in West London at a recent roadshow, where staff were able to find out more about what it means to be part of the Ark network. Executive Principal, Max Haimendorf, said: “This is exciting news, we’re delighted to be welcoming a new school to the Ark network. I’m looking forward to working with parents, pupils and staff at the school.”

Paddington Green Primary has an agreement with Paddington Bear Limited, and is the only school in the country to feature the famous bear on its logo. Before joining the Ark network, the school was known as Paddington Green Primary School. In January 2016, pupils were visited by Paddington Bear author and local resident Michael Bond.
